Crewe Alexandra Lions Match Report
Important Notice Crewe Alexandra Teams 2009/2010
13th Sept 2009
Our first league game of the new season saw the ASC Lions once again produce a fine winning performance again Brookfield Rangers. From the kick-off the ASC Lions were able to control and dominate most of the play. All the players worked hard and competed well against a determined opposition who never gave in. Our passing game could have been better but on a hard and very uneven surface this could be expected. The teams all round play and movement was good as were a number of the neat finishes. The ball was up in the air a little too much for my liking, we’ll talk on Wednesday about that. Very well done, excellent start to the season, however, we must look forward and so we must further improve. |

The second half was much the same with the defence giving Kidsgove few chances to score.

Kidsgrove got a late goal but could not find an equaliser.
Ollie won the m.o.t.m. with a fine performance from midfield.
Sunday 31st Jan League game
Alex Soccer Centre 5 Kidsgrove Ath 2
The staff of the Soccer centre did a fine job of clearing the snow to get the pitch ready.
With our best performance of the season the team took the passing game from the training pitch into a match.
The ball retention and quality of passing and tempo was a joy to watch and all the squad played a part.
Jacks vision and passing ability made him m.o.t.m.
2 goals from Luke and 1 from Will and Johnty and an own goal gave the Soccer Centre a comfortable victory.
Lukes 1st goal was a fine finish after a great move by a number of players.

Important Notice Crewe Alexandra Teams 2009/2010
ASC DIAMONDS 7-0 RIVERSIDE REDS
Diamonds started the game as they finished last weeks game playing strong passing football and taking a comfortable 3-0 lead within the first 15 minutes. Diamonds continued to dominate the play for the remainder of the half leading 4-0 at half-time and eventually running out 7-0 winners. Again special mention to the Riverside Reds goalie who performed solidly throughout to keep the score down.
The goals came from Curtis, Greg 2 , George,2 from Billie and one from the man of the match Connor. It was difficult to single out a man of the match with several solid performances from the lads.
